The world’s most simple, accurate, rugged, and reliable rain sensors.
There’s nothing more embarrassing–or more wasteful or costly–than an irrigation system that runs when it doesn’t have to…in the rain. Mini-Clik® provides the simplest, most effective way to prevent sprinklers from coming on during or after precipitation. It easily installs on any automatic irrigation system, then shuts sprinklers off in a storm and keeps them off, automatically compensating for the amount of rainfall that occurred. Disks absorb water and expand proportionally to the amount of rain that fell (e.g., a small cloudburst would result in little absorption, a 6" thunderstorm would lead to more absorption and expansion). As the moisture-laden disks expand, they eventually activate a switch that interrupts the circuit from the controller to the solenoid valves. Once dry, they contract and release the switch. Thus, Mini-Clik automatically resets without ever affecting your controller. There’s no better way to ensure that a system isn’t watering when it isn’t necessary.
FEATURES
Easily installs on any automatic irrigation system
Versatile enough to work with all popular controllers
Patented mechanism cannot be fouled by dirt or debris
Reliable operation; no false shutdowns
Adjusts to actuate at various rainfall quantities
Set from 1/8" to 1" based upon your local conditions
Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system. In that “accumulation time”, the system will unnecessarily continue to water. This can look especially bad for conservation-conscious municipalities, businesses, and residences. With built-in Quick Response technology, the Hunter Rain-Clik and Wireless Rain-Clik can command a controller to shut off right when it starts to rain. The Rain-Clik can be mounted on an eave or any flat vertical surface like a wall or fence. A gutter mount is also available that allows for easy installation of the Rain-Clik on the edge of a gutter.
Instant Quick Response rain shutoff and freeze shutoff at 37°F
Maintenance-free design with integrated battery for wireless models
Adjustable vent ring allows for shorter or longer reset period
Rugged polycarbonate housing and metal extension arm
Includes gutter bracket and wall mount with wireless models
Compatible with most normally open or normally closed irrigation controllers
Hydro-Rain's HRC series hardwire sensors are designed to save water and limit damage to foliage by turning off sprinkler systems in rain and freezing weather. HRC series sensor installation will prepare your landscape for the ever changing environmental conditions of your geographical domain. No other major brand in the industry makes the freeze feature standard on every rain sensor.
One of the great mysteries of sprinkler systems is how to program your timer so you don’t waste water. Making sure you use just the right amount of water, or conducting an irrigation audit, leads to maximum sprinkler efficiency and that’s where Hydro-Rain sprinkler catch cups (also known as catch cans) come in. They simply and effectively help you conserve water, perform your own sprinkler audit and reduce your water bill by accurately measuring sprinkler application rates for each watering station.
How it works
Simply place the catch cups in the included catch stands, run your sprinkler timer for 10-20 minutes per station, record the amount of water that falls into each cup and input the numbers into Hydro-Rain’s exclusive watering schedule application. Voila. The application will tell you your irrigation efficiency and timer schedule for each station, including correct duration and frequency for every month of the year.
Contains 12 durable polypropylene catch cups and catch stands
Features industry-common 16.25 sq. in. average throat area
Measures sprinkler application in millimeters and centimeters
Compatible with Hydro-Rain and Orbit’s exclusive watering timer schedule application
1-set of cups covers a station that has up to six sprinkler heads
